V. B. R. Foundation is located in Tracy, California and has a fully functioning office in Elk Grove, California. V.B.R. Foundation, Inc. (V.B.R.) is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to provide clean, safe foster homes, education, emotional healing and support to emotionally disabled children. V.B.R. Foundation Inc. was organized in 1986 and has established a history of quality foster care placement services to seriously disturbed children and their families. Founded in 2002, V.B.R. Foster Family Agency is a treatment program providing homes for children of all ages with a variety of special needs, including drug exposed infants, physical and sexual abuse, attention deficit disorders, behavioral and emotional disorders among others. The FFA is supported by the V.B.R. Foundation, which provides counseling, consulting, educational services, mentorship program for teens, and internship program for College students in the community. At present, V.B.R. has a skilled group of professionals working with difficult children and their foster families in a broad array of foster care programs. These professionals believe in challenging themselves. It has always been the intention of V.B.R. to provide the best possible care for all its clients. Currently V.B.R. provides foster care treatment for children that are infants to age eighteen. V.B.R. social workers provide intense support and consultation to foster parents, coordinate activities for treatment to team members, and are backed by a highly professional staff including a Ph.D. clinical supervisor, consulting psychologist, and child psychiatrist. V.B.R. has a policy of matching children with families according to individual needs. The case management and social worker staff regularly visit the families and provide counseling and assistance to the families and children. All case managers and social work staff are Master’s level of education and above. Our partners are: McHenry House Tracy Family Shelter, Holt Counseling, Phoebes Technology Day Care, San Joaquin Fair Housing Association Inc., Head Start, Healthy Connections, Family Resource and Referral Center, Work Net Law Center, Community Partnership for Families, Adecco Office and Industrial, Tracy Interfaith Ministries Food and Clothing Resources, Dimensions In Discovery Inc., San Joaquin County Mental Health Services, Tracy Police Department.

SOME OF OUR SERVICES
TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE: In case of emergencies or scheduling difficulties, the foster parent and/or social worker will assist.

AFTER CARE SERVICES: The agency will provide support for all foster children after they have left the agency by providing any information or documentation in the agency’s possession and providing any additional assistance that will help the child after departure.

RESPITE ASSISTANCE: The agency maintains bed space in several homes to allow for respite placements should foster parents become ill, have an out of town emergency, etc. The staff arranges the respite, may assist with transportation, and ensure all services are maintained during respite such as school and therapy.

Our mission is to provide counseling, education and support services to families in order to improve their quality of life. V.B.R. mission will develop; promote safe and stable families and communities, through Vocational Training, Business networking, Resources and Education.

Levels of Accomplishments
V.B.R. Foundation, Inc./Foster Family Agency and Children Services is a nonprofit, nonsectarian 501 C-3 organization dedicated to provide clean, safe foster homes, education, emotional healing and support to emotionally disabled children and families. V.B.R. has established a history of quality foster care placements and Case Management service to families and children. At present, V.B.R. has a skilled group of professionals working with difficult children and their foster families in a broad array of foster care programs. Currently V.B.R. has applied for our Adoption License, and has increased our counseling program to reach the families in the Community of Tracy, and we have established a MOU with Family Resource Centers for San Joaquin County in a partnership.  V.B.R. has also applied for several grants to expand our services to these families, so that we can better serve the community by becoming a one stop shop resource and referral center. It has always been the intention of V.B.R. to provide the best possible care for all its clients. To that extent, every effort is made to employ the best professionals and the foster caretakers who are intelligent, understanding and committed to children.
